The Company identified physical key movements as a way of tracking the presence of a vehicle. The realisation that physical key movements were unique triggers for many different activities in a dealership led eTag to identify the value of such events to the Dealership, Dealer Group, Manufacturers and Finance Houses.

Concurrently, The Company realised there was a growing demand in Key Management Solutions and secured a distributor agreement with Traka (see Partners).

Software developers were recruited to build an information management system around the Traka hardware key control system.

The first software release was in Autumn 2002 with ground-breaking follow-up releases expected during 2003
